This is my third visit to this friendly, local family oriented restaurant. I had the pleasure to talk to Rich (main sushi chef) and Jason (co sushi chef) and was recommended to order a sashimi lunch combo.
First of all, there's no other places in Sonoma county where you can get 15 pieces of fresh sashimi (chef choice) for under 20$... it also comes with house salad and miso soup. The presentation was unbelievable.
I received my food within 15 mins despite the busy lunch shift. Thank you bluefish and grill! -

This is such a little gem in the Bennett Valley area. Their nigiri and sashimi plate is worth every dollar. They also taste really fresh and frequently have different special cuts of fish off the menu as well.
The "Russian River Roll" that we ordered was also delicious!
Also our waiter was also very courteous and attentive the whole time.
Overall, I highly recommend this place if you want quality fish with reasonable price! -

So good! Great service. Looks like any bad reviews on here are old so it seems they've corrected any issues. I can't wait to go back.

I'm on the bubble between three and four stars. The service I received is sliding me over to four. Service was very polite, prompt, and attentive. The server was able to explain the dishes and did a good job answering questions.
I ordered the sashimi combo for my dinner. It comes with miso soup, which was good on a cold and rainy day. I upgraded the salad to a seaweed salad. The extra $3.50 for the upgrade is a bit steep, but the portion was quite large.
The sashimi was served in a wooden boat looking dish. Nice presentation. I got three pieces of five different types of fish. All were good, but nowhere near the best ever. I also ordered some of the amber jack they had on special and a spicy tuna roll. A bottle of sake rounded out the meal.
It was a good meal, but the price was on the high side. I don't think this would be a regular sushi stop for me because of the price. Service was very good, but the overall value is just okay. -

Very high quality sushi! Probably one of the best in Sonoma County, although I'm no expert. My family used to go to the old sushi restaurant in this location (Yao Kiku), so we were excited to try this place. The sashimi tasted fresh and high quality. My family got sushi rolls and bento boxes. My sister doesn't like raw fish, so she got a bento box with a California roll, chicken teriyaki and rice and said it was delicious. The prices are on par with other nice sushi restaurants, so a little pricey, but to be expected. There is plenty of parking as it's in a shopping center with a big parking lot. I'd definitely recommend Bluefish if you want a very nice sushi experience!
